Products & ProcessesAs its first two “products”, HCS has developed three indices:
The Competency Quotient™ (CQ), the Diversity Quotient™ (DQ),
and the Innovation Quotient™ (IQ). The Competency QuotientThe Competency Quotient certifies not only compliance, but also excellence in implementation of the People Capability Maturity Model. The People CMM helps organizations characterize the maturity of their workforce practices, establish a program of continuous workforce development, set priorities for improvement actions, integrate workforce development with process improvement, and establish a culture of excellence. Since its release in 1995, thousands of copies of the People CMM have been distributed, and it is used world-wide by organizations, small and large, such as IBM, Boeing, BAE Systems, Tata Consultancy Services, Ericsson, Lockheed Martin and QAI (India) Ltd. The Competency Quotient builds upon the CMM-P by assessing, quantifying and certifying compliance with the People CMM in actionable processes. Through the use of a detailed 5000 data point analysis, it identifies strengths, weaknesses, and, in particular, nonaligned processes to create a readiness analysis for advancement through the stages of maturity. The Diversity QuotientThe Diversity Quotient certifies not only a preparedness for participation in a global economy but organizational support for excellence in any form. It has become increasingly obvious that, in business, “what isn’t measured isn’t remembered.” And to date, other than “affirmative action” (which is limited and has, for good reason, been discredited), there has been no measure for diversity, or diversity readiness, either for an individual or for an organization. As a result, HCS has developed a new “diversity quotient”, in the hope of setting a real standard for business. The approach for this quotient includes both clusters of competencies as well as verifiable objectives, which provide both a behavioral and measurable/quantifiable basis upon which an individual or an organization can be assessed. The Innovation Intelligence QuotientThe Innovation Quotient assesses an organizations culture and practices to provide a picture of the organization’s support for innovation. By examining processes ranging from staffing to succession, rewards and management practices, combined with a analysis against a targeted set of competencies, the I2Q will illuminate the areas in which an organization sabotages its innovation capability and provide a path to improvement. Together, these measures can identify not only the organizations whose promises, practices and processes will continue to make them leaders in the 21st century, but also will identify a path for the other organizations to follow to become truly great. |
